Disable rear hatch

I have a 22 which i like most of the time except for the electric rear hatch. Is there any way to turn off the power feature back to manual?

You can turn off the power which makes it extremely difficult to open or lower the gate. In other words no, you have to use the power lift until it fails then pay a fortune to get new lifts.
