My 2RX is getting a bit old and I'm looking to upgrade. I just rented a TX from Turo for a week and I loved it but it's a bit too long to logistically fit in my garage day to day (1in clearance back and front with lift gate open). So wife has been talking about the RXL. Here is where I'm confused. All of the specs I'm reading online seem to indicate cargo space behind the 2nd row(3rd row down) is 38cuft on the 2RX and 15cuft on the 4RXL. That makes no sense, the RXL is 10" longer. Did the way cargo space is measured change between 2006 and 2022 or something?

 

I got a TX and had to adjust the rear hatch to open lower, and installed a wheel stop to get as close to my garage wall as possible.
It is a tight fit but my wife can get it in there. As for the discontinued RXL with the 3rd row down when I looked at them in 2019 it was close to the size of the RX with the 2nd row up.
When you fold the 2nd row down in the RXL is about the as a TX with the 3rd row down.
The 3rd row in the RXL up is only for kids and forget about storing luggage unless you strap something to the roof.
