Default Moving on...

Greetings all,

Just a final report on my 2018 RX350 AWD. I traded it in today for a 2023 RX350h so
I will be spending most of my time on that Forum but will drop by here occasionally.

We had the 2018 RX for 4 & 1/2 years and 68,000 miles. We bought they car when
they were plentiful and I was able to select the color and options plus the "J" VIN.

We never experienced any issues with the transmission or hesitation that was more
common on the early models. As a matter of fact the RX never had a failure of any
sort, just regular maintenance. I will admit I over maintain my vehicles and the RX
was the recipient of 20 oil & filter changes over the course of 68,000 miles. Below
is a list on the normal maintenance performed on the RX.

Rear Differential fluid at 35,973 miles
Front Brakes and Rotors at 38,955 miles
Rear Brakes and Rotors at 39,363 miles
Brake fluid at 47,923 miles
Coolant at 47,923 miles
Transmission fluid at 48,306 miles
Transfer case fluid at 56,430 miles
Spark plugs at 60,430 miles
PCV valve at 66,672
Engine air filter every 30,000 miles
Cabin air filter every 20,000 miles
Oil and Filter changed every 3,333 miles

The RX350 never failed us and was superbly comfortable and capable. During
this time the car averaged 21.203 miles per gallon on 87 octane unleaded fuel.
Pure highway was 26.02 MPG and heavy city driving was 18.58 MPG. Very good
for a 295 HP, 2 ton vehicle.

I would like to thank every one on this Forum. Wonderful members with great information.
Everyone here is very helpful and supportive.

Thanks to all!
Kreg

Whoever gets that trade will own a superbly maintained vehicle. Well done. Best wishes with the new '23 RX350h.

I have a 2017 RX 450h with 82,000 absolute trouble free mile. I am on the waiting list for a 2023 white or iridium RX 350h. I love my RX ater five years enjoy everytime I get in it. Question is do you think the 2023 is worlds better?

Good question. The RX is the wife's primary vehicle. She loved the 2018 RX350 but after driving a 4th GEN RX for over 6 years (we had a 2016, too) she was ready for a change. The Technology is the main improvement. The 2018 didn't have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which works great on the 2023. The Advanced Park Assist is amazing. The tailgate kick feature functions much better than the older "hand over the L symbol" routine. There are so many nice features from the door buttons to the built in cell phone charger, it's hard to make a comparison. Plus we added a few extras like Panoramic Camera and Heads-Up Display. Power and its' smooth delivery are very good so she won't miss the V-6. It was a good choice for her needs. For you, if you can wait for the 2024's, the prices might become more realistic. We paid full sticker with no mandatory dealer add-ons, but that was the first and hopefully the last time I do that.
