Default Driver's Side High Pitched Wind Noice

I have a 2018 RX 450h. When exceeding 40 mph, the drivers side mirror makes a high pitch whistling sound.. I initially thought it was a bad seal between the door and the mirror. I put plumbers puddy around the door seal to see if I could make it go away but it didn't work. Has anyone experienced this problem or have any thoughts? It is driving my wife crazy. No happy wife, happy life here right now.

I had the same issue with the driver's side mirror on my '15 GS. No noise when mirror was folded in. Turns out the problem was the 3M protective film installed on the front end and mirrors.

I was going to mention if you could fold the mirror in and see what happens.

There were similar complaints with the film on a previous generation ES. There have been a few complaints about wind noise around the driver's window on the current generation ES as well but I'm not sure what the resolution was, although I don't believe anyone identified the protective film as the culprit. Are you certain the wind noise is coming from the mirror and not the seal along that section of the door?

Absolutely. Had the film replaced and it fixed the problem.
