Does the maintenance reminder come on based on last service or strictly by odo?

Ex: If the maintenance reminder was reset at 51450 [and the vehicle has been set at 10K interval] will the reminder come as the vehicle approaches 61450 or 60000.

I believe it comes on in 5,000-mile increments based upon the last time it was reset. So if you last reset it at 60,689 miles, it will come on again as the vehicle approaches 65,689 miles. My opinion is based solely upon doing the DIY service on my wife's 2015 RX350 FWD.

 

On my 2015 it's based on the odo, so it would be 61450, not 60000.

When the counter is approaching the set distance from the last reset, I get short reminder messages that go away by themselves, then they turn into a solid dashboard message.
