Hello all members,

The top of the rain sensor bracket got lose so the rain sensor is not in full contact with the windshield anymore. As the result, intermittent wipers do not work.
I removed the rain sensor and confirmed the problem visually.
I have the new gel pad on order.

My questions:
1. what is the best way to remove the bracket without deforming it?
2. which adhesive to use to re-attach the bracket?

I see a few rear view mirror adhesives on Amazon but all of them have quite a lot of negative reviews.

Please, in your replies, post what you used and how long it has been- I want to do the job once...

Just search around youtube - How to remove it

Reattach it

Then look around the columns next to each video for more similar videos, or consult with a local glass & windshield replacement shop. They do this all the time.

I saw the video. I do not have a mini-torch. Hopefully, the hair drier will do.
