No OBD connection
I have a little problem, because I got fail from inspection. Examiner can not read emission test on OBD-tester. Lexus works fine and power is ok on the OBD-plug. Today they tried check that problem in Toyota service but the result was same, no connection to ecu. I have reserved more time to find the problem from Toyota service, but I know that it cost a lot of €uros. I´m thinking that same problems are cars of the same brands. Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear forums users. Do you have any idea where is the problem on my Lexus RX 450H (2010). I have not tester but good tips are welcome.
Some times words get lost in translation. Just want to make sure that the OBD reader can not read or the ECU values are not available to be read. There is a term "NOT READY" which shows up when the ECU has been reset recently and enough drive-time/start-stop (run) cycles have happened. Some of the driving must be done at highway speeds.
First gen have reported issues with ground wire circuit, but that has not happened enough to conclude anything.

I believe that OBD reader can not read. Connection can not form between ecu and reader. I have not reset my ecu. Is it possible, if I now take the ground wire away from battery and wait over night, so connection would return ? Is any other damage possible ? After that I have to make new teaching.
If the reader cannot access the ECU that's a more serious problem that needs to be professionally diagnosed. You may have a bad ground connection somewhere.
