At 53,000 miles on my RX 350, I have developed a problem with all 4 control ***** on the dashboard, controlling the flow of air from the vents.
They are all frozen, unresponsive to dialing up or down.
I can go to any of the cooling/heating modes no problem.
I checked with my local dealer service rep, he is suggesting recycling the servo motor, maybe this will fix the problem. ( $370 !!)
Alternatively, the servo motor may be bad, or possibly i have a blown fuse?
Has anyone else seen this problem with their 3rd Gen RX 350 ?
Could indeed be the servo motors or the blend doors stuck in position. If you opt to pay someone else rather than attempt a DIY fix, find a well-respected independent automotive HVAC shop familiar with Toyotas. You will pay much less and probably get significantly better service as well.

Are you talking about the little "trim wheels" located beside each vent opening? We just bought a new (to us) 2012 RX350...love it...but when I was riding in the passenger seat, the vent above the radio just to the left of the passenger seat would not adjust. Luckily, I had gloves on and through considerable effort was able to make the wheel move to adjust the air flow. Once I did that, it worked properly.
