Default Used 2011 RX350

Hi. Currently looking a for a SUV in Canada. My local lexus dealer has a 2011 Lexus RX350 AWD touring package with 140000kms on it. Price is 17900CAD. Not super equipped but still nice enough. Test drive felt good and service is supposedly up to date. Anyone have any opinions on the durability of the interior? The leather seats had a lot of creases in them, both front and rear, and the passenger seat had already some small tears in it. ventilated seats felt super weak. Anyone have any issues with the electronics of the Lexus? I am also considering a 2014 toyota venza V6 limited with 90000kms for the same price. thanks for any input.

Both vehicles share the same basic platform, engine and transmission and Toyota's famous best reliability in the car industry. Learn to use the search feature here and read the sticky threads at the top as most of your questions have been asked before. Both are great vehicles.
The leather seats are a weak spot on the RX350. The creases and cracks are in the polyurethane coating that is over the leather and are normal wear and tear. The cracks trap dirt and unless cleaned often become nasty looking. The seats can be refinished by a car upholsterer or yourself with a kit from leather renew dot com. The seat ventilation is not great, it may help reduce your sticking to the seat in the Summer. Its more of a gimmick.
The Venza, and I have a friend with one, sits a little lower and drives a little better than the RX, but it has more hard plastics in the interior. However, a 2014 Toyota will have much better infotainment (stereo, phone interface, nav etc) than a 2011 Lexus and that along with the lower mileage might be enough to consider it instead.
In the end with a used car it is all about the service history especially since the one you are looking at is a Limited model. It may be as well equipped as a Lexus.
Both Lexus and Toyota have sites that let you see the dealer service history of any vehicle if you sign up and enter the VIN. The sites share the same password, so sign up for Lexus and when you go to the Toyota site it will prompt you to use the same one, or log you in. https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/

I can tell you that the seat leather quality in my wife's 2015 RX350 is mediocre at best. The drivers seat outboard bolster showed excessive wear last summer. The dealership claimed it was "normal wear and tear" even while the vehicle was still under the factory warranty so I submitted a case to Lexus Corporate and they agreed to split the repair cost 50/50 with me. I paid $100 and they paid $100 on the $200 repair cost. They have an on-site leather repair guy so that tells you how much of a problem these cheap leather seats have been for Lexus. Thus far the repair is holding up but it has only been a year so time will tell.
