Remove Airbag and Glove Box
Hello All,
I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of instructions to remove the lower passenger side airbag and the glovebox on a 2013 RX350. I need to change the blend door actuator on the passenger side. The duct that runs to the passenger floor side looks to be in the way. I believe I would need to remove this to get at the actuator, but to get the duct off I would need to get the glove box off. To get the glove box off, I believe I would need to get the lower airbag off. I may be over complicating it, but any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

WHY?
The glove box door is easy as it must be opened to replace the cabin air filter, look in your owners manual.
I would think you have to tear the dash apart to get at the passenger airbag as it is under the solid vinyl cover on top. Destruction may be involved to get at it. Playing with airbags without knowing what you are doing may lead them to ignite unexpectedly causing untold damage and injury. You should consider the consequences before attempting this mission as you may regret it.
There are color coded wires for the airbags and fuses which should all be disabled before attempting such a project. It is best to speak with a body shop before proceeding.
