When I open the cap of the gas tank it often generates a strong depression noise coming from the air filling the empty room of the tank. Is this normal or is it a signal that something is wrong with the air management within the tank ?

Thank for advices,
Pierre
Yes, perfectly normal. The system evacuates the tank to make sure gas vapors do not escape into the environment. It can create a vacuum noise that you will notice when you release the cap.
Thanks, meanwhile I found informations explaining EVAP system.
Please share the info if appropriate.
I don't really hear anything more than a little "hissing" when I remove the tank cap. I'm just wondering if there's anything else that would cause extreme "vacuum" inside the tank.
