Rear Bumper Sensor.
Regarding Lexus 2010 RX 350 car. My mechanic recently replaced the rear bumper. The rear sensors beep continually when I put the gear in reverse even where there's no obstruction or anything near it. Thanks!

The mechanic doesn't know why the rear sensors on the bumper make a beeping sound and are not working when the gear is put in reverse. He's currently researching on how to stop the beeping sound. I wanted to know what needs to be done to stop the beeping sounds. Does anything need to be reset? Thanks!

You can turn the assist OFF.
Some times the software gremlins can be removed by disconnecting the battery [you may loose some settings].
My best guess is that the work done [or the sensor used] was not right. That is why I suggested that let the mechanic figure it out. In the debug process, he might disconnect the sensor and see. He can try swapping the sensors and see if the problem moves or not.
Keep in mind, I am 'guessing'.
