Immobilizer reset

ID code box
I had a flood problem with my 2013 rx 350. It cranks but won't start. OBD says immobilizer. Can anyone help with the location I can find it? If possible help with the diagram so I can know the location of the Immobilizer code. Thanks

What was the level of the water?
General information:
Immobilizer gets the signature from the key fob and matches the stored information in the ecu and then allows the firing of the spark. Each key-fob signature is registered in the ECU.
You can try using the other key fob, but most likely it would not help as the problem seems to be with the vehicle.
Incidentally, not starting after flooding is just one of the problems [as major as it may be], there are hosts of other hidden problems. I would seriously suggest going the insurance way.

Hey guys. I found out that the key was left inside the car all night which might have triggered the immobilizer system. Anyone knows how to manual reset it? Thanks

Leaving the key in makes no difference.
You can have new key registered and maybe a key can be deleted.
My understanding (which has been flawed many a times) that the key signature can not be reset.. Say if your battery dies the key signature is not lost.
II would investigate based on the water level.

the water level is high. I changed the ECM, steering module and interior fuse box and engine started after servicing the steering column. But the next morning it only cranks and does not start. I remember the key was in the car all night. OBD says immobilizer (B2799). I don' have insurance so I must fix it or scrap it. Someone pls help.
Are you by any chance trying the old key with the new ECU... That would not work.
All the things you touched influence the immobilizer. A bad connection would render it inoperable.

When you changed the ECM, did you pair the key wit it? Or you should have bought Key with the ECU (this key would mot likely not operate door locks, but it should be a registered key with the ECU.

That is all good to hear.
What you need is now some diagnosis to see where the signal is reaching and where it is dying.
You can do trial and error and reopen and check each connection. The other option would be pay a mechanic or dealer to do the diagnosis.

Did you try putting the key fob next to the start button when you press it? That will use passive RFID chip authentication rather than the active Smart Key system. That's how our vehicles are started when the key fob battery is dead. There's a key authorization module that should be on the left side of the glove box. If it got flooded, there's a chance it is damaged as well. You may need to find a locksmith specialist to sort out this problem. They typically have a subscription to the Toyota key access codes or have other ways of configuring it.

I am very familiar with first gen [or earlier Lexus] where the magnetic signature is detected by the sensor near the ignition key. Since I did not want to unintentionally mislead OP, I did not mention bringing the key fob next to the start button. With the push button start, my feeling is that the signature is now RF and not magnetic. Are there two systems? Any insight would help me understand it better.

That is correct. There are 2 independent systems. The old-fashioned RFID is still there, with the RFID reader ring now embedded around the push start button instead of the key lock. Each key fob has RFID chip embedded into it too, just like the old key did.
