our rx350 is having problems with the radio, cd system where when you hit a bump the channel changes and it is now spitting out the cd's dealer says the unit needs to be replaced and i believe the sripping on the top of the truck has come loose and water is getting into the roof and i assume must have got into the sound system. anybody else having issues like this?
Not me, but if water got in that way you would likely have many other electrical issues, not just the sound system. What year and is it under warranty for any of this? What about insurance for the roof damage?
Yes, I have that problem when it is really hot outside and my RX has been sitting in the sun. Searching on this issues shows it is more common than it should be. I doubt your issue is due to water, from what I have read it seems heat related.
Here in central Texas and with a black RX, you can't get much hotter. I see no problems, but I am only 1 additional data point. Has your system subjected to any spray on cleaner?
i am in canada and the occurence seems to be when it rains it appears to happen a lot more and when you hit bumps too or even when i press the buttons on the face plate to increase or decrease the fan speed. i approached the dealer when it first started and was told the face plate of the whole unit needed to be replaced and was not covered under the extended warranty we had bought and would cost 700 us plus installation. i will also check on this forum as i have seen similar issues from other posters on this website. 2010 RX 350. thanks
