Exhaust System compatibility
I was driving my fiances rx 350 2010 after coming back from a date that night and accidentally backed over some rocks. It was dark and pouring rain but the mistake stands. The exhaust pipe which is connected to the muffler and exhaust tips is destroyed. To replace it it would be 500$-900$. That's a pretty steep price. I found some cheaper exhaust pipes from a Lexus RX 2250 (?) and was wondering about compatibility. Does anyone know what models are compatible with the 2010 RX 350 exhaust system?

Never heard of a Lexus RX 2250 model. There is an IS 250 but it is a small sedan.
There are some online discount OEM suppliers such as www.mylparts.com you could look at.
I see what you mean about the high price https://www.mylparts.com/oem-parts/l...Y2LWdhcw%3D%3D
AFAIK the closest vehicle to the RX would be the Toyota Highlander, but due to the different rear suspension I do not think that exhaust would fit or be cheaper.
I would try Rockauto or Midas or Meineke for an after market system which may be cheaper. If buying online you could also try for used on eBay or http://www.rancholexusrecycling.com/
Good Luck.

The pricing that you quote seems like the cost to replace the entire exhaust. Your description of the damage sounds more like you crushed the muffler, tailpipe, and exhaust tip which shouldn't be as much as you are describing. Take the vehicle to an independent repair or exhaust shop and get a quote after they've looked at it on a lift. I suspect that it isn't as bad as you think. Also, you aren't the first person to do this...it happens.
