Nav Screen Bezel removal?
Little shelf has many scratches. Does any one know how to take it out for touchup or replacement.

I found a post that states that the trim piece is just snapped in. Will try to pry it out and try sanding and painting.

Procedure is to lift from below and create moving space by wedging the sides.
Next step ,,, find matching spray touch up. The color is definitely not black ,,,, seems more like shade of brown ,,, noble brown?

There are car paint speciality shops and I am not familiar with them.
Auto part shops have a good selection of spray cans and it is a matter of finding the the right color/gloss and use. Plastic/vinyl needs flexible paint and traditionally there has been bonding problem with touch up paint.
New part is discounted to $65.
I will give it a try to paint it and was hoping to hear if some one else has used a product with good/stay_away experience.

Washed and cleaned the part. Spray painted it with flat black. It turns out exact color match is not required.
After I put it back, I realized that I should have buffed the surface and may be put a thin film of wax. I will leave it as is for now as I am afraid that any thing I do, will make it glossy.

Not happy with the results .. The plastic flexed and under certain light condition I can see a crease.... looking for perfection. Pulled it out for the second time and will try another paint brand.
