Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, but I have already learned a few things. I have a 2014 RX 350. When I hit the open moonroof button once, the moonroof slides open to about 80% and stops. Then if I hit open again, it slides the rest of the way. I'm wondering if that stop point is there for a reason? Is that a programmable feature? Can I reprogram it to open all the way when I hit the open button?

Anyways, I appreciate any information.

The first stop is the optimized location for being open with less wind noise. Opening it further is fine, it's just noisier.

 

Yep, works as designed. This prevents wind buffeting.

 

Thanks.. I did notice that when at low speeds with windows up and moon roof completely open, I got wind buffeting, but it goes away when I reached highway speed. I don't get it at all when the moon roof is at that first stop point. Mystery solved.

Yeah, when driving at highway speeds IME it makes a big difference only opening it to the first stop...
