Anyone have any knowledge or experience with the advertised OEM remote starter kits offered on eBay and Amazon? Are they easy to install?

 

I don't know about how hard it is to install, but the OEM remote start on my '13 450h is one of the worst I have ever had to use.

The range is marginal at best, and the thing I really hate is it shuts off when I open the door. It might actually stop when you unlock it but I always use the smart key and sensor on the door handle and open and unlock at the same time.

I bought the car used so it was already installed, but if I were going to add one I would see about having a Viper 5906v installed. Had that system in the car that the RX replaced and it worked great.
