Quote: JDR76 is correct, Download Lexus Enform App Suite (free forever) and Sign In. Name/Email/Password/VIN
...
Did we mention that it is free forever except for data plan minutes?

From what I've just read, the Enform App Suite is only for 2013 and newer vehicles, which doesn't help at all with older vehicles like my 2010 RXh.

But this does :

There is no such option for Enform folks, so there is an advantage to owning an older vehicle!

Thanks for the link, vlad_a,

I'll have to admit right here, though, that aside from using Google Maps or Waze, I'm a Nav idiot. What does the unlocker do for me? Can it allow me to update the Nav database, or does it simply make the legacy Nav features available while I drive where they would otherwise only be available while parked?

I work in IT, yet I can't stand using the factory Nav. The frustration system, as I call it.

It doesn't do anything for the OEM system. However, it allows you to mirror phone's screen on the factory nav. And to use the joystick to control the phone.
So one should be able to use Waze or Google Maps from the phone right through the factory unit.
Of course, this means no lockouts, and all of maps are always up to date since smart phones retrieve them on the fly over the air waves.
One could watch youtube videos, browse internet, read e-mails, or do any other activity available through the phone.
Obviously, use common sense and stay safe.

Those that have already installed the system may be able to chime-in to make sure I got all the facts right.
Mine is 2013 with Enform, so this is not an option for me.

Thanks for that detailed explanation. Probably the biggest hold back for me, then, would be the fact that it's actually my wife's car and not my DD. It still might be something I consider sometime next summer, though, as a preparation for our annual long weekend getaway. Heck, right now, I'm even struggling with the decision to get a RAM-Mount phone holder setup for my one because of the limited time I drive the vehicle (only for an hour or so on Fridays, perhaps an errand on Saturday, and then to church and back on Sunday). Otherwise, I'm putting up with the old fashioned diesel clatter in my F250 everywhere I go.

I've got one of these at target for $15 in store:

I bought it to use in a rental car on a trip. It even worked in a basket of a "city bike"!
And that's what we use on road trips now. Need to have Google monitoring for traffic conditions up ahead and rerouting if need-be.

I've seen those, but I've grown partial to the RAM mount option of using their smaller suction cup in the little triangular glass forward of the DS window, but am not sure how I'll handle the reflection onto the window glass or prevent side glare on the phone screen... but am considering using my heat gun and some thermoplastic to make a "surround" glare shield integral with the phone mount. Again, though, given my infrequent usage of the car, I'm letting the ideas simmer in the back of my bean until I come up with something I can be happy with.

My apologies to burrben for drifting off topic.

And.... we're off topic. I understand that the factory Nav isn't great and there are other solutions avail.

But to keep the thread on-topic, is there anyone out there with a 2015 that could test the voice recognition system to see if a LAUNCH command exists.
If it does, this is a very good solution to use.
