I have a 2015 RX350. I use WAZE as my navigation app. I have my phone synced to Lexus and paired on Bluetooth. Unfortunately I do not get the inav instructions through my car speakers. I do hear my iTunes music and phone through the car speakers. No prob. In WAZE sound system settings I have iPhone speaker set to off and Bluetooth set to on.

Do do anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong. I also have the same problem with google maps.

Subscribing. Interesting issue. I, too, rely on Waze, but I always run with the Nav voices OFF, so this is not an issue I've faced, although I could in the future.

 

What are you listening to on your sound system while you are using Waze? If you are streaming music thru BT at the time, you should hear Waze. If you are listening to other audio sources, try this: Settings>Sound>Sound Output>Play as Bluetooth phone call

I had this same problem--I would be listening to Sirius in my car (non-Lexus), but there was no sound from Waze. I opted to use the phone speakers--I didn't like the "Play as BT phone call" because it would display "INCOMING CALL" for each voice prompt.

In other words, you turn nav voices off and only view Waze map for directions?

 

First let me say that at one time I had no issues hearing Waze instructions in my 2015 Rx350. Perhaps the issue started after an iOS or a Waze update.
I am usually listening to Sirius radio that is part of my Lexus audio.
I do have it set to: PLAY AS BT PHONE CALL.

I love my Lexus cars but if there was a way that Lexus could install a more complicated taudio system, more they would do it.
So, you only hear instructions thru your phone speaker?

I have set the Waze App to play Bluetooth "As a Phone Call" and let it run in the background.
I leave the Native Lexus Nav map up, when Wazers provide a prompt she simple mutes my media
and announces the traffic condition..."Police spotted ahead" is a favorite! I usually enter Point B's
into the Lexus map but you can "long press" the Talk button to wake up Siri and tell her...
"I need directions to Wrigley Field, Chicago IL using Waze" and it will set up. Actually continue
to watch the Lexus Map but the Waze prompts come through "Prepare to turn left in one half mile.."
