I loved it! Still laughing. The previews at the end were also great.

Lol, good link. I wish I had that link a few months ago.

I spent some time but eventually corporate Lexus was willing to replace the headlight. Thank you everyone for your helpful suggestions.

I had water in the headlight of my Bimmer Z4.

I had their super-duper wiz bang extended warranty.

The car had about 20K miles - and was about 5 years old (I'm not sitting at my file - so this is a guesstimate)

The replacement was not covered.

No "Policy" adjustment.

The headlight (HID) was about $800; and the installation was to take it to about $1,200.

Arrrrrgh

I managed to figure out where the water was getting in (despite the fact that the car never leaves the garage in the rain - I had parked it overnight after driving it in the rain at our cottage) - it had some cracks in the rear cover - I filled them in with crazy glue, primed the whole thing, layered on some spray paint, and set out to dry the inside.

I sat there for about an hour on each side holding my wife's hair drier blowing into the hole after removing the high beam (left the HID alone).

It dried. No water in the headlights since (although it's now 11 years old with 49K miles; and it only gets wet when it gets washed).

So, I don't know if I fixed it - but at least I dried it.
