Dealers/groups of dealers often buy in large quantities & will buy what the factory believes will sell well.
On the lot, off the lot is what they want to see.
A special order may interfere with production time/schedules. They make all chocolate chip muffins day 1, day 2 they change to all oatmeal muffins, day 3 it's all blueberry. You want strawberry ?? Make you a deal on a pair of blueberry you can't pass up. Strawberry isn't slated until next week 2nd shift on Wednesday.

I would wait if I could & get the exact set-up you want.

Tim's muffins are better !
You'll have to come North a bit or know a Northern visitor heading South.
I know of 2 Tim's in Bangor, Maine.
Close enough ?

Tim's, eh? They opened a Tim Hortons at the Forum where the Tampa Bay Lightning play. Is only a Cafe Express and it gives a bad name to the franchise. No doughnuts. No tea. Is actually quite the show to stand there before a game, say against Toronto, and listen to the grumbling visitors.

For we Americans there is always Dunkin' Donuts.

20 years ago or so, before there was a Starbucks on every corner here in California, I was amazed at the number of Dunkin Donuts in the towns north of Boston (Andover area) on a business trip there. I hear DD is making it to our state but they are going to have to go in between the Starbucks. It will be interesting to see how they do.

Never heard of or seen a Tim Hortons.

Tim's is an institution here in Canada. Fed's considering re-wording the Canadian anthem to include the phrase "medium double-double". LOL.
I'd be a little grumpy too at the Tampa Forum.

Finally found what I want (at least 99% anyway) Dealer has two coming in soon with most of the options I was going to order + my salesman is ordering the lighted door sills and having them installed at his discounted price. Now I can get what I want and still get a good discount. Yeah!

Only now I have to decide between Obsidian & Silver Lining Metallic. What to do? I like them both.

Glad to hear that it's coming to a successful resolution for you.

As far as Obsidian versus SLM, I think your decision ought to be based off of how much time you want to spend on paint/appearance maintenance. Obsidian looks great when polished and clean, but takes more effort than SLM to keep it looking that way.

Congratulations on your upcoming purchase!

That's great news. Obsidian is beautiful but high maintenance. I'm sure you're aware Lexus' paint is on the soft side so swirls will appear more easily. Silver lining on the other hand is more forgiving. I just had someone comment how shiny my tungsten pearl RXh looked even though it's covered in pollen. Granted it was from a distance but still it was nice to hear.

What are the interior colors?

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the silver for just that reason. Had Obsidian before and although the dealer provides free car washes, it looked "unkept" most of the time. But boy was it beautiful when
freshly done!

Sandy, If you like to have some visual variety as I do with my cars in my driveway, since you already have a silver GX, I'd go for the Obsidian RX despite the higher maintenance.

Nothing wrong with matching big brother. And black on black would be hot in the wrong way under that TX sun. But of course I'm partial to silver lining/black.

Is yours silver & black? My daughter has a silver Venza with black. It's not a Lexus but it is pretty.
