Amended with repost of detector install..more concise

Thanks for this helpful info. Photos would be much appreciated, especially concerning:
1) removing the mirror cover to expose the wires, and
2) connecting the wires to the existing white and black cables.

I'm still using my Escort 7500 (probably 6 years old now) but with the coiled cigarette lighter cord hanging down from the windshield mount.

Unless you have a 2014 model year (possibly 13/12) this will likely not help you but I'll post some files soon..
