i plan on countering with $39K w/o the rebate so the net would be $37,000. Does this sound realistic?
The dealer makes money on the financing arm as well.
So i don't think they will accept your offer. But you can always try.
I didnt see BSM ( blind spot monitoring) in your options. It's a nice, but more importantly a SAFETY feature that i would love to have on all our cars.
I'd rather have BSM than cross bars and cargo mats that Are so overpriced.

I have it on my 2014 GS and love the function it does for me, but not for my wife. for some reason, it annoys the hell out of her so we aren't getting it.

yup, mats and cross bars are so overpriced, but no choice as it comes with the car that I want w/o the nav.

Agree to the smart phone alternative as Waze I have on my iPhone works much better than the nav i have on my 2014 GS.

But you have to admit that the interior with the nav looks much better and it comes with more than navigation. Would I still spend more than $2,000? Haven't thought about it.

The deal sounds pretty good but If you can see about a lower interest rate. I just bought mine and got 0.9%.

The lowest APR i got from my credit union was 1.49%.
And LExus Financial gave me 0.9%.

I still suggest that you get a credit union car loan.
Sometimes, the finance dept won't approve you for Tier 1 plus.

It happened to us. My wife has her FICO credit scores (770,760,775) from the 3 bureaus.
We were surprised to find out that the dealer uses a different calculation ( auto FICO) which is different from the credit card FICO scores that WE are all familiar with.
Long story short, they want yo increase our monthly payment by $50.

This is where i came in and have to co sign to get the 0.9%.

PLAN B was to use the 1.49% pre approved auto loan that we got, however we won't get the financing discount.

Yeah, I was surprised to find out that the "auto fico" is now what the dealers use; I had just done a check with trans union, and my score was 826, but via "auto fico" it was 758...don't know why, or even care, since we got tier1 plus financing anyways, but it was sort of a surprise how much lower than it was via trans union..

I think the dealer mentioned you need at least a 780 score. for the 0.9%

Two options here:

1. Don't take $2,000 rebate and take 0.9% financing
2. Take the rebate and get special (this is what freaking dealerships say all the time) 2.9%

Did calculation and I come out ahead with rebate w/ 2.9%, but I'll see if I can get a better rate.

Got it down to $38K with rebate and trying $37K with other dealerships. I think it's possible.

We just bought a 14 Rx350 2wd. MSRP was $49989. We got the car OTD for $48107. That was $6000 off including the $2000 rebate. Got 2.35% interest for five years. Also got an excellent price on our 09 ES trade. This was in the central valley. Modesto, Ca

Got it this weekend for $37.5 with the $2K rebate and three year maintenance for free. more than $8,000 discount from MSRP.

Had no choice but to finance with 2.9%apr to take the rebate. minimum $10K finance was required, but you can pay it off after 4 months. I would only be paying $100 in interest.

Because legislation for using a cell phone while driving is making it illegal to use navigation on your phone (at least holding the phone and using it). In-car navigation isn't subject to such laws.
