Default New beeps when parking

Hello, We have a 2010 RX 350 and have had it for about 5 months. Recently, we noticed that when we stop we hear one beep and then when we put it into park, we get two beeps. It has just started doing this and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has a fix? Thanks!

Sounds like you're pushing hard enough to activate the hillside assist function. Check the manual for a description of that function.

Good catch David. That's probably it.

Ivan, if you're activating hill-start assist, it's from pushing the brake further than what is normal -- you'll see more info in the manual around p341. Look to the far right on your dash when you hear the first beep -- an indicator light with squiggly lines below the car image comes on when the function is activated (I cannot generally see the indicator myself because of the position I have the steering wheel). The double beep means the truck has cancelled the assist function because you didn't use it within the couple of seconds allowed.

Thanks guys and thanks for the welcome. I believe you have hit it the nail on the head. My view was obstructed by the steering wheel as well and I did not notice the warning light. Thanks for the help with this, glad it's nothing to worry about.

Now, if I can ever get used to the noisiest engine that I've ever owned!
