Default 2010 RX450H question

I just bought a CPO 2010 RX450H yesterday, I love it very much, but I couldn't figure out how to start the car by just press POWER once?

When I step on break, then press POWER button, it alway go to ON mode, when I press POWER button again, the car goes to driving mode, my CT200h and 07 ES doesn't do this way.

The user manual has so much information, I haven't looked it yet, doesn't anyone know how to configure one step start?

Thanks.

When you step on the brake, do you wait for the Power button to show green before pressing the button? It might take a half second or so for the system to recognize the presence of the key and be ready for drive mode. If you press the button too fast or at the exact same time as you press on the brake pedal, then you end up just putting it into Accessory mode (yellow light), and by the time you try it again, the key has been recognized and allows driving mode.

I don't think this function can be customized and works the same way in all Toyota hybrids, without foot on brake, 1 press is Accessory, another press is On (but not drive), and another is off. With foot on brake and key recognized (green light on button), 1 press goes into drive/ready mode (regardless of if Off, Accessory, or ON mode).

That's really weird. Are you pressing the brake hard enough? It should start on the first push with the brake depressed. As Andy said, don't put it out of park before it goes into the ready mode. I occasionally put it in reverse too fast and it just stays in the ON mode.

I went to parking lot and tried this again, it work as you pointed out.

I guess I didn't press the break hard enough.
