I've never had to pay for a loaner either. Most times I'm handed keys without asking because they know I drive a distance (30 miles) to get there. I've had a loaner for everything from minor service, with or without an oil change, to waiting for a part that's coming in the next day. They only ask that I replace the gas used. Ocassionally when I'm there, the dealer is short cars because people don't return loaners when they should. But somehow my SA comes through with one. I'd ask the dealer for the purpose of a $5/day charge. That's a bizarre amount IMO.

I placed a call to Lexus Corporate this past Friday. They are investigating the situation and will let me know how to proceed this afternoon. I will let everyone know as soon as I know.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Good job Longlexus3. I want to see how this turn out. Because, there is no way for an Routinely Oil Change to destroy the engine to that extend.

One thing a lot of us need to learn, Lexus cars:the best, Lexus dealerships:not always the best...
Oh ya I'm 17 it's been a year since I've been getting loaners when I go in for services, never payed a penny for a loaner...

MjThind, leave your mom's RX alone buddy
Yeah, I never paid a dime for dropping neither my IS nor RX for service. The most the charged me once was for gas ($45), but they also filled my car up so I guess I paid for my own gas. I have been to dealerships in NY, VA, and NC.
