Theft Prevention Labels

Theft Prevention Labels
Page 154 of the 2013 RX 350 manual states that theft prevention labels "are attached to the vehicle to reduce vehicle theft ... Do not remove under penalty of law." Where are these labels on the vehicle? I don't see them on a window, which is where I would have expected them to be.

Mine are on the front side windows down low.

My 2006 RX400h had many very semi-permanent visible stickers with the matching VIN applied, e.g. there was one on the edge of the rear "trunk" door, another under the edge of the hood and several others. My 2013 on the other hand does not seem to have the same number of visible stickers in those same locations after a quick 2-3 minute inspection.

Two different window tinting companies, for both our 2010 and 2013 RX's, removed the theft deterrent decals, never to be seen again. Didn't realize they could be arrested for removing them. At least we still have the blinking red light from the RX's theft-deterrent system as another deterrent. That and our 4 pound Yorkshire Terrier.

If Lexus says: "theft prevention labels 'are attached to the vehicle to reduce vehicle theft,'" why aren't they called "theft reduction labels"?
If affixing a label prevented thefts I would buy several.

VIN labels used to be located on the hood, fender, and doors. On the RX, the VIN can be found in the windshield, driver's door jam, and under the passenger seat behind an access panel (p.945, 2013 Owner's Manual). Here are a few examples:
This one is on an Acura, but Toyota/Lexus do the same thing.
On a Mustang
All Toyota/Lexus vehicles have the certification label on the driver's door jam.

Thanks for the posts
Thanks for the latest posts, but I'm afraid we have strayed from the "Theft Prevention Labels" to the VIN labels. Page 154 of the 2013 RX 350 owner's manual discusses "Theft Protection Labels" and I am trying to locate them on my vehicle.

My apology
Oops! Please ignore my last post. I looked at FamilyRX's photos again and realized that the "Theft Prevention Labels" referenced in the manual are really the VIN stickers as shown in FamilyRX's photos. It was the terminology in the manual that confused me. My thanks to all who responded to my inquiry in this thread.
