We recently purchased a 2012 RX lease return and although we received the manuals with the vehicle there is one question that was not answered by the dealer or that I could not find in the manual about the radio. In the event you disconnect the battery, is there a code that needs to be entered into the radio to make it function again? This was a theft deterrent feature in our last car (acura) that we traded.
markn, welcome to CL and congrats on your RX. No code is required for the radio if the battery is disconnected. But you will need to reprogram the one touch feature for the windows and moonroof. The instructions are probably the same as the 2nd gen RX. BTW, losing one touch is a good indicator that the battery is starting to fail and should be replaced.

Hi, so I assume this is also true for 2nd Generation, no radio code needed for a battery disconnect? ('07 RX350) Searched the forums and didn't see this so thought to ask on this thread. Thank you.

We didn't have to enter any radio code when replacing battery on our 2006 RX400h.
