My RX had just the side rails when I bought it. I like the sporty look of the ones that I've seen with no side rails. But I also like the more rugged SUV look of the side rails with the cross arms installed. I did install the cross arms on my side rails and I think I like that look the best now! The cross arms do generate a lot of wind noise that's very noticeable in the cabin though. Having just the side rails looks really strange , like something is missing, and it's not really a roof rack just like handles for the green giant to lift the RX up by.

I called my lexus dealer for a quote. Lady called back and said it would be $400 - $500 since they have to get a kit to cover the holes plus it takes time to unbolt the rails without messing up the paint etc. So yes, I'll be doing it myself.

I think they look fine with or without the rails. I would consider taking mine off, as they do generate some wind noise at highway speeds, but I use them way too frequently, so I'd be taking them on and off, on and off, etc.

Wow. $400-$500 to remove the roof rack. I spent $70 something for the Kit and less than 45 minutes to complete the job. The hardest part at first was removing the rear plastic cap but it was a breeze after i found the trick with the Nylon pallet strap. I am not sure how one could messing up the paint unless they are extremely careless.

Does someone know if these kits still exist?

I bought the individual parts last December. Here is a link to some of them. Think I got the black rubber parts on ebay.

If you are removing the rials, you may swap parts with some one who wants the rails. The rails are not cheap. I paid a pretty penny when I bought my set from eBay few years back.

Local add or Market place [here in club lexus as you can not post swap/trade/sell/exchange in regular forum].

I appreciate your response.

By "black rubber parts" do you mean grommet-like washers for a water tight seal? If so .. online link please?

From my research, I understand that this 2010 - 2015 RX350 roof rack delete / removal requires...

i) FOUR (4) roof drip moulding covers:

TWO (2) LEFT: { 75596-48020 }
https://www.lexusoeparts.com/oem-par...ver-7559648020
+
TWO (2) RIGHT: { 75595-48020 }
https://www.lexusoeparts.com/oem-par...ver-7559548020

ii) FOUR (4) identical brackets: { 63185-48010 }
https://www.lexusoeparts.com/oem-par...ket-6318548010

iii) EIGHT (8) identical bolts { 63230-48010 }

Can a knowledgeable and experienced member please verify that all of the above is accurate and complete? Thank you.

Yes, your parts list is correct.

However, I believe the moulding covers are front/rear rather than left/right. They are the black rubber parts.

I had to do this as my car came with a not-original rack that wasn't good for anything but rattles.
