I was just pondering.....do a lot of Lexus dealers actually own a Lexus themselves? Obviously they drive them, but if they actually owned one, then they would know a lot more about these vehicles rather than just enough to sell you one?
The best answer to that is go to your local dealer and ask them to show you what they drive

One of the Salesman I know drives a MB V12 and a Prius. He said that he always one a Lexus hybrid for his wife but can't afford it yet. The Sales manager drives a Lexus which he leases. I know him for about 3 years and he has 3 leases already.
He told me that since he is just qualified as Master Lexus Sales or something like that, Lexus subsidies him over $400 per month toward the lease payment. This is what Lexus should do to ALL Lexus employees so they all will drive nothing but Lexus.

do you consider "lease" as owned?
because leasing "one" CAN make you knowledgable enough with that specific car.
imagine 2-3 years driving that vehicle.
most sales people in my dealer are leasing Lexus cars and SUVs
they do own other brands.. toyota, honda, nissan etc.
You just never know; my wife worked for our only Toyota dealer years ago and the owner hid his Lincoln Town Car in the back; he never drove one, and they were kind of a POS back than!! But he was the owner, and not out hawking them; back than salesmen had a Toyota that they drove to work and home all the time!!! Now salesmen have to lease one if they want a daily driver!!
with an employee discount, it would be a steal. I certainly would if I worked there. Heck, Id find a part time job washing cars there if I could for the discount
they pay very close to dealer cost (which is different from invoice)
