Happy to report that the recall for the unintended acceleration was completed. They also replaced a leaky real shock that was making all the squeaky sounds in the back and the steering wheel column that was making popping sounds! Meanwhile driving an IS 250 loaner and enjoying it!
FYI: Lexus requires all dealers to fill -up the tank of any Lexus visiting for ANY campaign. It's a way of paying for your inconvenience.
Not sure that is actually true. Not only has my dealer not put any fuel in the tank during recall visits, I have not always been able to get a loaner vehicle if the service required was less than 2 hours in length. This was specifically true of the last recall for the brake booster problem.
Both times I have took my car to Lexus of Riverside for recall work. I got a loaner. They filled my car up and washed it like they always do for service.

Not saying it does not happen. Just not sure it was mandatory. The car was always washed and vacuumed.

Hrm. I also just got mine back for recall, squeaky rear suspension, louder than usual engine, and steering column rattles. They didn't fill up the tank but they did wash the car and vacuum the inside. They weren't able to fix the squeaks in the rear but they did order a part to replace the steering column and that'll arrive ~2 weeks. The louder engine was diagnosed to a failed water pump and that was replaced. However, I was at a different dealer a few weeks ago to replace the airbag sensor ECU and when they checked the rear suspension for squeaks, they found a worn out internal seal and replaced both shocks. Squeaks still exist.
