Hi, Is the oil change reminder/message based on strictly miles driven or is there an internal algoritham that considers driving conditions like temp., trip distance etc (as in Honda & Acura)or a sensor that checks the condition of oil.(as in BMW & Mercedes).

 

It's 5K miles unless Lexus changed it on the newer models. I had mine come on today and reset it in a few seconds. Next oil change isn't due until November.

 

I have yet to get a reminder.

Mine came on at approx. 4700 miles. Dealer reset it when it went it for it's 5000 mile service.
