Lexus needs to get with the program and provide CarPlay and Android Auto as an option to all of its cars. Their navigation system is dated and slow and maps shouldn't cost $300 to update.

I used Waze on my phone EVERYTIME!!! Forget the car's gps. I Bluetooth my phone to the Lexus Enform system and works well. I have either Pandora or iHeartRadio playing too. With this set up, even with the FREE Pandora account, the commercials are stripped out and only music will be playing. If you do the free Pandora WITHOUT the Lexus Enform (still via Bluetooth), you will hear commercials.

Every music app you ever wanted is available. I watched the Witcher on Netflix every day at work on my lunch breaks with the Mark Levinson sound system. I streamed the NFL playoffs, and was able to actually see the game instead of just listening to it on the radio. Obviously you don't want to do any of this stuff while you're driving, but that's not what I'm suggesting. In terms of functionality, it just can't be beat.
The unit has been rock solid. The company was great when I needed support. I can't say enough about the company or the product itself. And with an update coming soon to bring it up to Android 10, it will be relevant for years to come.

I have the GROM VL2 in my 2016 GS. I can't say enough about this unit, as it is better than any infotainment system that could ever come in a car. It's essentially an Android tablet, so you can do anything a tablet can do. No car system will ever be able to top that...

Does the car's screen still present you with the OEM climate control screen? Or does the new GROM controller take over everything and things are all different?
