Welcome to CL, jsgold.

I haven't been offered any maintenance plans through my dealer of 14 years. I would pass. Your first two services are free. That should carry you past the first year of ownership. Oil changes are 10K or basically once a year. It's tire rotations and lots of checking this and that in between. And you can take it to a Toyota dealer or DIY to save even more.

Hi Anita, I keep hearing to take the RX to the Toyota dealer...well I can see that in those areas where the Lexus store is 100 miles away or more...but do you really think that if we take an RX 350 to a Toyota dealer here in Nj, would they be able to do the right thing? ...as far as checking for possible problems?..or are we talking about just the basic oils changes, air/cabin filters and tire rotation?....just your opinion..one more thing...I noticed that the only Lexus dealer i Nj that offers "coupons" for services at reduce prices is Lexus of Rnglewood in bergen county....none of the other dealers even offer "discounts" on any regular service....what do you do?...

Going to a Toyota dealer is fine for the routine stuff. There was one close to me that used to advertise they could service Lexus vehicles. But they can't handle warranty repairs. You have to go back to Lexus for that. I'm partial to my dealer since I've had basically the same SA for forever. I get discounts and freebies regularly. They have coupons too. BTW, I haven't paid for anything outside of routine maintenance.

I think you once mentioned that your dealer was Bridgewater right?....they are quite a distance from me...I ac not say anything about Prestige and their charges since I have not have any expiriences with, from what I hear their service is very good but pricey and I ahve never seen any coupons at all....as far as warranty repairs it makes sense,,,,I guess when I reach that point then I will see what is available...thanks for the info..
