Just bought this Certified 2011 RX about 3 weeks ago and would appreciate any info that may be offered here :

Can anyone tell me why the (Nav) screen won't show MPG and another screen not show OAT when selecting ' info'?

I have both set on the instrument cluster and reading ok, but when selecting the info screens, with the curser, those are not there ? Those values are left blank. No luck finding this in my manuals so far.

Shouldn't it repeat what I have selected on the inst panel ?

I guess my acronyms aren't up to date, I'm not sure what you mean by OAT. But mpg (history not instant) should be viewed on the NAV screen by following the instructions in the book. It's pretty high tech, did you take it to the car with you to go through the procedure? It helps a lot till you're used to it.

Welcome to the C/L forum, you'll fine it a very good and helpful place.

If something is definitely not working, your warranty will cover it, just go back to the dealer. I've never heard of your problem, so I'm thinking it's just a learning procedure.

If by OAT you mean outdoor air temperature, it's only shown in one location and as far as I know not on the Navigation screen. It is shown on the multi-informational display, that one above the steering wheel.

The navigation screen is a multi-purpose screen too, covering a sundry of things. The two buttons down by the remote touch takes you to the "great divide". Menu takes you to the main operational menu and map takes you to the navigation map. Just tell us either what you are after or when you move through the menus tell us the path you used to get there.

The Multi-informational display also has a great divided accessed by the page button on the steering wheel. Again tell us what you need or where you are in the menus and we can help you out.

Thx for your replies. I finally figured it out, and did my homework.

The screen I was confused on was the INFO menu selection, and then selecting fuel.

That showed MPG on one screen and miles available to run at present MPG average, on another.

The OAT which I have selected on the instrument cluster, is only there I guess. I had thought it also appeared/repeated within the menu selections, on another selection offered.

Thx much for steering me to do my homework.

Very happy so far with this car. It is my second RX, and I really like the way they recessed the NAV screen in the dash within it's alcove, The older models always had a sun glare, reflection problem , as it was not recessed really. My previous was a 2005 RX330.

So far so good with this 2011.
