Take Care of the Wood Trim
#2
No, I don't play soccer!
That's before Sewell discount. It's $3,500 after. I priced a different color minus the shifter and steering wheel with discount, $1,700. Big difference. I'm glad I don't have those extra wood pieces.

Wow. Although even on older Lexus models I've not seen the wood really wear badly unless it's been abused heavily by the previous owner(s). What I have seen wear badly is the leather on the steering wheel and shifter. After a while the semi-smooth surface smooths to s sheen and is followed by flaking in high use areas. I imagine the smoothing is simply due to wear from hands on the wheels and someone resting their hand on the shifter, etc. The flaking may be prevented by constant conditioning with a quality protectant. I guess to prevent the smoothing you can always hold the wheel by the wood and shift using the stalk

You can have the **** and steering wheel refinished but a company called American-Stitches.
Several people have used them from the detailing forum here. I think they may make the wheels for Lexus someone said.
