Default So talk me out of it...

I've had my '07 ES for almost 4 years now and am looking at a 2012 RX 350 in Stargazer Black w/ Light Gray Semi-Aniline. The deaer sticker is $50,048 and they are offering it to me for $47,100 +++ Here are the options (for some reason there is an extra $200 I can't seem to find). Decent deal? or

RX 350 AWD | 2012 Base MSRP$40,475
Navigation System with Backup Camera Package with Additional Options $7,645
Accessories
Carpet cargo mat $105
Remote engine starter $429
Roof rack - cross bars $259
Delivery, Processing & Handling Fee $875
Total
MSRP$49,788 (but the sticker says $50,048.00)

Oh, and they are throwing in all weather mats as well and I am getting 2.49% financing through my CU.

Glass breakage sensor would be $205. Could that be it?

Aha! Didn't see that one. Heading over to the dealer tomorrow morning to 'negotiate'

FYI, your price seems to be just about 3% over dealer invoice. I am in Pittsburgh, and that is what I paid for our 2011 back in April. According to True Car Pricing that seems to be a good price. It does not take into account and dealer incentives or hold back, if any.

The dealer said it is $1500 over "invoice" so thre is probably some hold back there as well as incentives to get new ones out the door an in people's driveways. I will most likely take the deal since I doubt I will get anything better waiting a few months

There is a rebate on the RX350 here in Canada for $3k right now. Nothing on the 450h yet.

Do some research on truecar.com, it will at least give you a feel for what you should be paying. When I bought an RX350 last November the price I paid was close (-1.5%) below the Great Price shown at that time. Some people feel that the data skews high for self serving reasons, but I don't think it is that far off. Try it and see where you come out.

True Dealer cost is the Factory Invoice less holdback (2%) and dealer incentives (probably zero at this point due to low supply). You probably can't touch his 2% due to supply situation. It is a seller's market right now.

Thanks. After doing some more poking around and looking at truecar (there isn't enough data for my area yet) it looks like he's about $200 higher than what the stie says is a "good" price. It's not like I'm out there looking to buy a GM so I'll probably take the premium.
