I don't see much mention regarding these lights.
Only time I see them work is when I approach the car with the FOB. Then the lights go on. Does not happen when exiting the car, I don't see the lights.

Just when are the supposed to operate?

When you approach the car or when you hit the unlock button on the FOB.

Yep, guess that's the only time they come on.

Would have been nice for them to be on with the headlight timer, so when you exit the car you have some light near the doors.
