I did exactly what you suggested, I aligned the side steps straight with the front and back doors then placed the brackets where it suppose to mount but no screw holes nearby align with brackets screw hole. Do you have to drill a hole?
Do you still have those pix broadfeet send you? Can you post them?
Thanks
You have to take the soft plastic nut (not sure how to call) out.
Ok here they are 3 pix they sent me. Hope this help
I have really appreciated this thread started by sweetboy02, so I thought I'd contribute to it in case it helps someone else in the future as well.
I bought these Broadfeet side step nerf bars from suvwarehouse on eBay, a.k.a. IDFR Automotive, a.k.a. SUVdressup.com as sweetboy mentioned. I installed them myself and can confirm that no drilling or cutting was required, though I did find it helpful for the front support brackets to remove 2 plastic clips on each side and swing open small sections of the plastic cover (then replace the cover and clips after bolting on that outermost part).
So do you guys find these helpful getting in and out of the vehicle? I gotta tell you they look too low on the RX to me. They look like they would bottom out on big speed bumps. I just bought a '15 RX F Sport, and looked onto these, but they look too close to the ground for my taste. The RX is not hard to get into at all as well. I came from a 2007 MDX that had running boards.
Not that the running boards are ugly, they just look too low on the car to me.

It does help my wife (4'9) to get in or my Mom ( her legs are now weak). However if I would like to buy again. I'll buy the running board (looks better and easier go step on) than these neft bars.

The ground clearance (~7") has been fine so far. The installation bracket was actually approximately in line with an existing plastic cover that was part of the underbody (near the light ray in the following photo).
