I received and installed the all weather Weathertech mats today. They fit perfectly and are made of good quality materials. I am so pleased with them. Several parts places have them, but they are cheaper when ordered from the factory.
Got my WeatherTech All Weather mats today and installed them within minutes. I am quite pleased with the quality. I ordered them on Wednesday and the FedEx guy dropped them off today (Saturday). I went with the black mats.
I use ExactMats which are perfect for non-snow areas. They are relatively thin and fit exactly. What I don't like about Weathertech and other such mats is they are bulky by design in order to keep liquids from overrunning the sides. That's fine if you need that protection, but in areas that don't have snow they tend to be too bulky, imo.
Anyone know the price of the Lexus cargo mat? See this link.
I am comparing it to the WeatherTech which is $120 plus shipping.
$74.12 plus shipping with Club Lexus discount from Sewell.
I had the Weathertech hard plastic type mat in my last RX and I bought and like the rubber Lexus OEM mat much more.
When we bought my wife's RX350 last week we negotiated the final price and then the wife chimes in, "I want a rubber cargo mat to keep the carpet clean". Dealer wasn't going to lose the sale for the price of a cargo mat, but they whined and weasled a bit before throwing it in. Wife was happy and when the wife is happy EVERYONE'S happy.
Two piece that interlock so no spills get through and there a lip around the whole cargo mat.I find items don't slide around as much with the rubber compound.Though, the aftermarket hard plastic/vinyl mats are ok and one piece.
Lexus part I bought at Sewell.$74.42+shipping with Club Lexus discount.
I got the same Lexus Cargo mat as mentioned earlier, and also got the Lexus rubber 4-piece floor mats that are at the Sewell web site. I like them both.
My mom loves the rubber Lexus Cargo mat and feels confident carrying groceries and heavier items in the trunk. I would go with the matching Lexus all weather rubber mats Sewell is offering for interior too.
Black or tan all weather floor mats from Weathertech?
Opinions?
I was thinking all black personally.
I also have the parchment interior and struggled with the same decision as yours. I was concerned that the WeatherTech beige is not a "good" match and I remember how the dirt showed on all weather beige mats in my son's Passat several years ago.
I ended up getting the black mats and stayed with the parchment color carpet mat that came with one of the packages in the cargo area. My reasoning was that my vehicle came with black carpet floor mats and I liked them so I just kept the color scheme.
I also went with the all weather mats versus the laser cut mats. I am happy with my decision and will change back to all carpet when the snow melts this spring.
