Default Headlights

I ended up buying the headlights from a vendor from Texas. That leaves me with a almost new set of 2010 RX350 headlights. Let me know if anyone is looking buy a set. I have pictures. Email me at greggamp@comcast.net.

Cheers

OLD POST - Would anyone know where I can buy a set of front headlights (HID \ AFS) for the 2010 RX 350. I bought the truck at an auction and they ended up putting the headlights in that does not have HID. HID\AFS i think are the headlights that move when your making a turn.

Cheers

well they won't be cheap from dealerships, probably you are looking at at least 1k each.

and also, it's not a direct swap

As Rominl said, they won't be cheap. And likely as not even if you can get them, they won't work as they do in the Lexus. By the time you bought all the gear, computers, etc to make the inside light turn into the turn just the right amount (they work with the steering) and also auto level according to the load in the back, you might come out cheaper buying a used RX with all that already on it. I'd give up the idea.

Off topic, but I was wondering what the difference was between the RX's that have the HID lights on the inside and DRL's on the outside vs the RX's with the HID lights on the outside and the DRL's on the inside. I noticed this on the Edmunds pictures of the RX. The red RX has the HID's on the inside while the white RX has them on the outside. Just wondering what package gets the HID's to the outside.

There aren't any packages that come with HID on the outside, since Lexus doesn't make them. If you see projectors on the outside, they are regular halogen lights, not HID. 3rd Gen RX has 3 headlight options:
Halogen's-projectors on the outside.
HID's-projectors on the inside.
LED's-2 projectors on the outside.

Thanks... This is probably why I have never seen one with projectors on the outside on the lot.
