however, dont just judge it by the rims. the 18 inch tires are 60 series, which means that it has a thicker side wall. they dont look right to me, but they will ride softer.

this: notice how the red line distance is longer than the 19" wheels, and i think it makes a drastic difference in curb appeal

Thank you!...I agree..now looking at the difference closely...I DO like the 7 spoke rather than the 5 which I missed the first time I looked...and for and additional $600...I think it does improve the looks of the suv..thanks again for shining "the light"..

There another 19" wheel that is standard on the Sport Package. It is dark silver as opposed to light.

yes, its the regular 19" rims and they have a darker finish, lexus calls it a "graphite" finish.

I haven't taken a hard look at it yet other than taking this pic. Do you know if it's painted or chrome plated?

Burnaby, mine aren't that dark, 450h with sport package. But they are awesome rims and look different than the standard ones.

I like yours as well, Anita. The only thing is I'm really fussy about cleaning them, and like to be able to reach inside the rim. So yours would drive me nuts, as I would spend too much time fussing over them.

My dealer offered me the split spokes as they had a Hybrid client wanting swap for the Sport wheels, but I could see clearly in my future, so I held my ground. Btw, the combination you have is not available here in Canada.

The rims aren't too bad. I clean them easily with Sonax and brushes. They are overdue for wax which I am not looking forward to doing. I'll be cursing and wishing for rims like yours.

No special orders available in Canada? That's what mine is.

Is that brake caliper stock?

yes, the sport finish isnt really as dark as the picture you posted burnaby. Its just not as white as the original. and im pretty sure its painted, my 04 RX with performance package that also has the graphite finish has a lot of curb rash and once the finish is gone, it reveals a black material underneath

I wouldn't worry about the 55 series tires on the 19's myself. That is still a lot of sidewall protection. Sure, it probably will ride stiffer than the 60 series tires, but I ran 255/50/20's on my RX and it had plenty of meat and rim protection. I used to hop curbs, hit hot poles and I never bent or curbed the rim. Just too much tire protection

Good to know CK. Yes, curb jumping is something I missed in my previous incarnation...

Thanks rominl & RXSF!

Haha, just be careful. I had a 255/50/20 on an 8.5" wide rim. so I had some good side wall protection and the tires built in rim guard overhung the rim lip a few mm so it was protected. Also I wasn't exactly flying over curbs. Just going over them when needed Then again, I was used to driving with 30/35 series tires so even 40 series tires are huge too me

DunWkg, Burnaby is right. The brake calipers are stock. BTW, glad to see your 450h has its true color back
