There are two SUVs I have told my fiance I love....
Porsche Cayenne GTS
Lexus RX 450h (and 400h is the other one)
Here is out thread..I love it...the interior looks fantastic. If you read the powertrains Porsche has done it again, more power, more efficiency.
AND a HYBRID!!

I agree, looks great. I like the fact but this and the RX interiors are do distinctive.
This is beginning to sound like a Porsche forum!
I happen to also really like the look of the new RX as well.
How do I convince the little miss that we REALLY need new wheels (I sorta like the 19" hybrid rims don't get me wrong but as I mentioned in another thread, I would love to see these on our Obsidian Black RX)
I tried to show her that the tires on the OEM wheels are "winter only" and that we would need new rubber for the spring/summer/fall...and that it would be a more simple process to have rims and tires to just swap out with the change of season. She's not buying that "logic"
If I can convince her I would love to still use a Lexus center cap somehow?

Guys, I both agree and disagree. I think the exterior is awesome (even better than my RX). However, the interior, with all the chrome and 500 buttons, looks like an airplane cockpit,
I'm guessing that the handling of the Porsche is fabulous, but I just couldn't stomach the interior.
To each his/her own. Enjoy..........

C'mon, the interior is not THAT God aweful. With the upgraded full leather package - where the doors and dash and console are all wrapped in fine leather, the headliner in a microsuede, it is pretty lux.
Maybe high speeds dictated the airplane cockpit look
I also love the huge retracting sun roof, opens the car up alot.
The Panamera Turbo is also quite a sedan. It or the Quattroporte Sport GT S would be my choice in sedans fer sure!

To me, it's the tough decision of getting it as the family car.
This is very true. I feel the same way. It's the huge dilemma of getting it or not. I like many of its characters (powertrain, exterior, handling, prestige... etc.) but dislike its "noise" and some of interior designs. I have to listen to other opinions of family members as well.

Oh... A few years ago, I gave myself 07 Cayman as compensation for the loss of Cayenne.
Actually, I don't really like Cayenne SUV until I got the chance of driving daily 08 Cayenne GTS for almost half of year.
While riding it, this car really made myself to disregard all the dislike for interiors in most of time.

the new cayenne looks good, i am definitely loving it a lot more than the current one. some parts i am not sure, but overall great improvement
the 450h loaded.... wonder if that's a "good" deal or not

A lot of folks in various strings have criticized the 2010 RX 350 and 450h as being to luxurious and not enough handling or power. I think they hit their target market square on (and sales bear it out) but for those who have to have the extra power (and don't mind paying a lot for it), the Porsche Cayenne now has a Hybrid but with a lot less mileage than our RX 450h. Oh, and did I mention a lot more money??? http://www.automobilemag.com/green/r...rid/index.html
