Upgrading to LED headlamps
Hello,
Does anyone have first hand experience upgrading to LEDs?
I have been told that the lenses designed for halogen bulbs don't necessarily match LEDs and I may get worse lighting.
Comments and replacement suggestion -if they work- will be appreciated.

Welcome to CL. I will assume you have the H11 halogen low beam bulbs based on your post. Below are some of many older threads on this issue as it has been a discussion topic for many years.
I will advise that your best option is to install H9 halogen bulbs to improve the H11 low light issue as the housing is designed for this type of bulb. There are many threads on many forums regarding H11 to H9 conversion. It is not difficult to modify the bulbs. I use this harness to run H9 bulbs in my Lexus HS250h. https://www.aspireautoaccessories.co...39362274361408

From my experience with swapping over to LED headlight bulbs in place of halogen bulbs in other cars is that I get more glare due to most LED bulbs being an hotter bluish white 6000k color which is horrible for rainy conditions as it just reflect off the wet roads.
If I would go with LED bulbs in an halogen headlight housing, I would pick with an warmer yellow/white 4300k LED bulb(similar to stock HID bulbs) color which is brighter and has more contrast without glaring on wet roads.
However, the issue is that most LED headlight bulbs tend to be 6000k or higher which is cool looking but useless for any night driving in the rain.
