Default Rack and pinion

HI everyone, recently my rack and pinion started making squealing noises and I was told its the rack and pinion. I went on to rock auto and saw many options, Im leaning towards the LARES one because of the price. What do you all think?

Like mentioned in the other thread you posted I would go with that cheap rack if you DIY the repair yourself. However, I would not use that cheap rack if you are paying an repair shop to perform the work.

The LARES rack is the cheapest for a reason and I do not think because it is built to last. I believe that it may not last longer than maybe a few years before needing replacing. However, the same could be said of the other more expensive options as well. None of those brand names are top quality to my knowledge.

If you are paying a shop to replace that rack then just go with a new OEM rack if long term reliability is the goal.

If you plan to keep the car for another 50K plus miles, I would go OEM. It is costly, but if you wait on sales of 20% off like at Treasure Coast Lexus, you can get it for quite a bit off and nothing beats OEM for this type of replacement.
