Repair / replace dead factory radio
I ordered an iNav radio from 4x4shop but their support is telling me it won't work without a functional factory radio. The way it connects, it expects to use the factory unit set to aux to output of the audio. The backup camera feed goes through the factory unit also, but since it doesn't power on, the camera and audio don't work.
Is there a way to bypass the factory radio and connect the iNav (or something else) directly to the amp/speakers and backup camera, or is my only choice to try to find a replacement factory unit or repair the one I have?
If it is dead, you are probably better off finding a used one. It may also be less expensive. They appear to be between $350 and $500 on eBay.
Do you have navigation?
You will need the part number from the one in your vehicle.

When you say "radio" you mean the head unit [this has the radio, buttons that operate more than the radio]? or the radio FM/AM receiver?
When you say radio died? Do you mean portion of the headhunt died and do some buttons still operate?
6runner's suggestion about hard reset is excellent. Remove battery power for about 20-30 mins.
Head units getting destroyed after battery charge is not a frequent occurrence. A bad unit can pop a fuse though.

My car has the radio, nav, ac controllers all in one unit #86130-0E082. The 2010-2013's have a separate nav unit that sits behind the radio, but this is all in one. The nav/radio part won't power up, but AC controls work. No response from the power/volume control *****.
On eBay, my specific unit is around $1k, while the others that don't have the nav integrated are much cheaper. I also have units in other Lexus models from that era for $300-400 that have the same connectors in the same spots, so if I can figure out which board is bad I might be able to replace it.
I can't find any 3rd party units that bypass the factory radio and connect directly to the vehicle's amp and speakers.
It looks like my options are to send my unit off for repair, try to replace the bad board with one from anther vehicle, or replace my unit with a cheaper non-nav unit and a different wiring harness to try to get the inav to work.
Any other ideas?
You can throw out the whole system and replace it with fitment issues etc. Check with Crutchfield.
Check Asian suppliers like Amiyama
Keep waiting and checking eBay.
Contact salvage yards.
