Default 2010 RX450H Gas milage?

New to me 2010 RX450H. 105K miles. Always dealer serviced every 5000-6000 miles. New hybrid battery at around 103k. new tires properly inflated. Use premium fuel. Impeccable condition. Drives perfectly.. Basically I follow all the rules to get the best mileage. I live in northern VT. Most of my drives are 15-30 miles mixed...........local and highway. 65 MPH. Some hilly terrain but not mountains and some flat terrain. I drive in Eco mode. Drive gently. No hard acceleration. Car feels great. But, I am averaging just about 25mpg. Nothing higher. From what I have read I probably should be getting more like 28-30. Looking for any insight here.

your trips are still relatively short. and while you're not going up mountains, the hills will have impact on fuel efficiency. I don't think anything it out of the ordinary here. I bet you'd see the efficiency of the hybrid if you did regular 100 mile + trips in the 40mph - 60mph speed range

Just double checking the info ..

How are you reading the average mpg? If the value is not reset, you are reading the long term average.

Try reading the mpg since last fillup. This will also identify when the mpg start dropping down and you can adjust your driving based on what gives you best milage [just a reminder don't get over into over monitoring and compromise safety].

I always tease people that your choices are restricted, adjust your driving style or change the vehicle.
