8-speed transmission help!!
I recently bought a 2015 Lexus RX-350 F-sport 8-speed ( AA81E/AA80E ) with ~94,000 miles from a dealership.
~500 miles after purchase I took the car to my local shop to get the transmission fluid changed. The shop did not do a tcm re-learn but did use Toyota WS fluid.
Has anyone experienced a rough jolt when downshifting from 6th to 5th either when speeding up (from 50+ mph) or slowing down (to a stop from 50+ mph)?
The jolt only happens when I push the pedal down while driving and the car has to drop from 6th to 5th to get more torque.
Note: When accelerating from 0-60+ there are no jolts—it’s just when I’m already going somewhat fast and the car drops to go faster.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

The fluid level may not be correct. This transmission is very sensitive to fluid levels. Did they use something like a BG transmission fluid exchange machine or the Toyota/Lexus method? Did they have experience with this transmission?
^^ What he said. I do my own ATF drain-and-fills because I do not trust anyone else to get it exactly right. The three successive drain-and-fills are actually quite easy to do, but you must accurately measure how much old ATF drains out and add the same amount of fresh ATF.
You can do the Re-learn yourself. Buy a very good scan tool from amazon, use it once, return it after. make sure you do it properly. But no need unless your car has Harsh shifts between 2-3 gears.
as someone previously said, they must have done the wrong level of trans fluid. I would definitely DIY it using the Pin method or Scan tool method.

When the shifter drops two gears down in response to gas pedal position, a jerk is expected.
