Thanks Clutchless. I read the articles regarding drain and fill on a cold fill, but don't want to take chances trying it myself. My Lexus dealer said that either I should have done it from the very beginning starting at 30K or don't do it at all. I don't agree though. I will definitely talk to my mechanic, which is a small shop. His mom and dad have an RX350.

Understand your position. Let us know how you get the fluid changed and if your guy can do it. I suspect he can, or may want to learn how to do the drain and fill.

drain and fill once with ATF WS only.
do it again after 60k miles.

Take it easy on drain and fill. youd want the clutch materials in there. just change some

There are plenty of theories about changing or not changing the transmission fluid and you can spend days searching and reading. You are welcome to form your own opinion [why not?].
Without adding my personal opinion I will only state the distilled popular opinions here [I will repeat popular which may be or may not be correct].
1. There is no lifetime fluid.
2. Do not power flush the transmission fluid.
3. If you already have high milage [high milage is undefined], leave the fluid untouched [only fill if needed]. <- this is the item you seem to disagree with
4. If you do replace, make sure the fluid level is proper. [volume/level is temperature dependent].

Choose wisely.

Salim
PS: I don't have a horse in this race. I chose 450H as it has totally different transmission.

agreed.
if you do drain and fill, make sure do the proper procedure via "Pin" method or Car reader that reads live data. lots of youtube vidoes on HOW TO. I would not trust anyone else doing this but myself
